Uic Calendar 2023 – UIC's Spring Day of Service is UIC's largest service event and is held annually in April. With partners from many institutions and community organizations throughout Chicago, this day brings the entire UIC community back to Chicago.

UMS Day of Service 2021 took place on Saturday 17 April. Following the cancellation of the 2020 event, we are now able to offer opportunities in safe and remote communities as well as virtual opportunities with our call to action at the centre. There are a number of larger projects including two virtual opportunities as well as an Adopt a Garden team project. Students, staff, faculty, alumni and their families have teamed up to work in local community gardens, a great way to come together safely while giving back.
(Due to COVID-19 and its impact on the Spring 2020 semester, the 2020 UIC Day of Service has unfortunately been canceled.)
From planting seeds to cleaning up beaches, the UIC community made an impressive impact in April 2019. With 180 participants and 679.5 hours of service, volunteers worked at 13 sites throughout Chicago, including PAWS Chicago, El Paseo Community Garden, Alliance for the Great Lakes, UCAN. , Planned Parenthood and more! This creates an economic impact of $18,271.46 for the state of Illinois.
