Csulb 2023-2024 Calendar

Chutaphin received a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Thailand and a Master of Arts in Piano Pedagogy from San Diego State University. Since 1997, he has taught at the SDSU School of Community Music and in his own studio. Chutafin has served on the San Diego Branch Board as Director, Membership Secretary and 2nd Vice President, as well as Co-Chairman Popular Music games. He served as the organizational coordinator for the CM San Diego team overseeing the study area.
Cal State Graduate Tuition
Williams received a B.S. in Music Education from Lebanon Valley College, a Master of Music in Clarinet Performance from the Yale School of Music, and a Doctor of Music in Clarinet Performance from the University of Southern California. He taught clarinet and taught chamber music in the Los Angeles area for many years while working as a freelance clarinetist in Southern California. Williams was an employee of Glenn San Gabriel Branch and served as Secretary, CM Chairman and VOCE Chairman. Most recently he was president of the San Gabriel Valley Chapter.
Margaret is Associate Professor of Piano Performance at the University of the Pacific. He teaches piano lessons and piano accompaniment at Ardscoil an Cheoil and private lessons at the Pacific Community Music School. Margaret received her B.M. degrees in piano and pedagogy and an M.M. in piano from Brigham Young University. He also graduated from the University of Arizona with a DMA in piano. Margaret has been president of the San Joaquin County Chapter for the past four years. He also held the position of Recording Secretary.
After receiving his BA in Music [CSUS, 1982], Bill joined the Sacramento Area Chapter serving as Chairman, Vice President and President of the YAG. Early retirement from the SBC allowed Bill to establish his own full-time piano studio in Fairhawks, which he installed in 2012. Commitments to the national community include serving on the Martin, Churchill administration and Masur, and Bill is the current membership secretary. through a tour as the President of the Convention. He works as an organist and sports director in many church organizations. Bill and his wife, Nancy, have five children and are expecting their ninth child this summer.

Academic Affairs Calendar
Jeanette holds a BA in Music Education from West Texas A&M University and a Master of Music in Music Education from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. He taught for many years in Catholic and public schools and currently teaches piano and violin on his own. Jeanette served the Contra Costa County Chapter as Recording Secretary and Chapter President for four years. Currently, he is the chairman of the Baroque Festival and the chairman of the Book of Appreciation.
Peggy received a BA in Music Education/Music Performance with an emphasis in piano from the University of Kansas. As a member of the Lakewood Cerritos branch, he served as treasurer for 12 years and as chapter president, CM chair, MP and webmaster. From 2007 to 2017, he served on the CM Board as Chairman of Innovation, Chairman of the Southern Piano Evaluator Training, and CM Online Planning Trainer, and coordinated new guitar and guitar programs. Peggy is a CM judge and has also judged SCJBF, SYMF, CAPMT and Branch Festivals. His students regularly perform at branch and conference gatherings and have won many awards in various competitions.

He started as a student at the Conejo Valley Branch in 1972 and eventually served on their board in many capacities. As a member of the TAC Sierra Chapter, he served as president for six years. Cal State L.a. Grads Finally Get Their Day
B.A. by Janice. in Music from Pacific Coast Baptist Bible College and served as their music teacher for 13 years, teaching classroom and piano. In addition to her private studio, Janice is an assistant on the Worship Arts team and an organist at CrossPoint Church in Huntington Beach.

Janice's research interests include the Taubman Technique and jazz accompaniment. He is the Orange County West CM Chapter Chair, Branch Honors Recital Co-Chair, Solo Piano Competition Chair, and Newsletter Editor. Primary roles include chairman, secretary and editor. He is also a rater. Janice was the first Director of the State Council and began her term as First Vice President.
Marceline received her B.A. in Music and French from Trinity College, Connecticut; his M.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State University; and his M.S. in Human Resource Management from Golden Gate University. Since 2001, Marceline has maintained a private piano studio in Davis and worked as the Chief Human Resources Officer for an environmental engineering company. He has been a member of the Yolo County Chapter since its inception in 2008, serving as Chapter President, Vice President and BOC Co-Chair.

Brillante, the mother-daughter pianist team of Lenore Brown and Heather Smith, performs Lenore's own sparkling arrangements of beloved classics. They were the first winners of the 2017 US International Classical Piano Competition held at Carnegie Hall. Recently, they were featured artists at the Mu Phi Epsilon International Convention in Denver, the Temple Square Concert Series in Salt Lake City, the 2019 MTNA Fundraising Banquet, and the World Piano Conference in Serbia.
After School Enrichment
University of Utah professor and Steinway artist Lenore Ford Brown has won international piano competitions and performed at Carnegie Hall, Steinway Hall and throughout Asia. He is a National Music Teachers Association certified teacher and has been a soloist with the Utah Symphony.

Heather Smith is a state certified instructor through the MTNA and serves on the Santa Cruz Branch Board of Directors. A piano teacher since 1992, she uses her psychology degree to inspire and connect with her students. Heather has extensive experience, including concert performance with the BYU Chamber Orchestra.
Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1979, he released his first commercial album at the age of 13 and shared the stage with celebrities such as Joan Baez and Don McClean.
