Department of Education Offers Free Tutoring for Adults: In support of the Chancellor's Parental Involvement Pillar, the New York City Department of Education provides for adults 21 and older within and around Community Board 14: We offer free tutoring during the day, evening and Saturday. Free English Course 2020 – Learn English for free at the YMCA! Classes last 10 weeks, 12 hours a week. Available in the morning (10:00-13:00) and evening (18:00-21:00). Free English Lessons for Adults: Learn and improve your English with ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) that focuses on speaking and listening skills. Day and evening classes are open to adults ages 18 and up at many locations in Brooklyn. Health Bucks (DOHMH Program) – Community members who are benefiting from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) are eligible for the benefits of the new program.
