Miami-Dade County Public Schools will unveil the Rockway Elementary School GOB project completed by SR Architects and construction manager MAC Construction, Inc.

As a result of funding generated by the GOB, Rockaway Elementary School underwent renovations that included classroom layouts and improvements. New playground; new windows and doors in the shop; replace the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system with digital controls in all classrooms; Renovation of group toilets; new Americans with Disabilities (ADA) elevator and restaurant access elevator; new railings, flooring, acoustic ceiling tiles, grills and lighting; Special exterior and interior paint; Hard court renewal and resurgence; replace fire alarm and public address (PA) systems; Selected electrical upgrades and miscellaneous improvements, for a total investment of $6.2 million.

Open Enrollment Period For District's Full Time Virtual Schools

School bond projects are created by voter approval of a $1.2 billion general bond. The bond will be used for the renovation and construction of school buildings throughout the district, increased student capacity, increased facility security and technology upgrades at all schools.
