Nyit Academic Calendar Fall 2023 – The Office of Student Administration/Residency and Career Services administers the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), developed by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). ERAS is a service that delivers applications, letters of recommendation (LoRs), medical student performance reviews (MSPE), medical school transcripts, USMLE transcripts, COMLEX transcripts, and other supporting documents to the administrators of the residency program.
ERAS consists of five components: the applicant website (called MyERAS), the Dean's Workstation (DWS), the Program Director's Workstation (PDWS), the letter portal recommendation (LoR portal) and the ERAS Post Office (ERAS PO). ).

ERAS opens in June and is available on the AAMC website. A token number is required to access MyERAS for the first time. Osteopathic students will be sent a token number in June (between their second and third year) to be able to access their personal information page and the LoR portal. When the system opens in June (year four), students will be able to access MyERAS with any web browser and start working.

The Office of Student Administration/Residency and Career Services is responsible for attaching supporting documents (Medical Student/MSPE Performance Evaluation, Osteopathic Medical School Transcript) to the ERAS application. After receiving the supporting documents, they are scanned in the student's application and sent to the ERAS post office. Residency programs can download this information by connecting to the ERAS post office using the program director's workstation. Program managers can view, sort and print applications based on criteria set by their programs.
